Aircraft

Skytraders' pair of CASA 212-400 aircraft are deployed in Antarctica from the beginning of October to the end of March each year. However from April to August, these specialist aircraft are available for commercial charter. Their large cabins combine with excellent payload/range and outstanding STOL performance to offer a unique capability. Logistics

No matter what your cargo, if you have a need to move a shipment of urgent goods, valuable live animals or outsized equipment we can charter you an aircraft. Needless to say we take care of all the operational details such as traffic rights and schedules so all you have to do is present the cargo at the nominated airport and arrange its collection at destination.

Animal Movements

We offer full or part charter or just individual pallets of animals. We specialise in the movement of many different species, whether you are looking to transport miniature cattle or delicate ostriches we can supply the necessary crates, ground services and personal loading supervision ensuring that your valuable animals arrive in perfect condition.

Export Licences

We can organise the issuance of government export licences in the event that these are required for shipment from Australia.

Load Planning

Not sure what will fit on an aircraft, what aircraft you need or how many pieces can be uplifted? Not only do we offer a load planning service but with our expertise in aircraft operations we can provide sector payloads and aircraft weight and balance data.

Remote Field Operations

Skytraders have extensive remote field experience in and around the Pacific. This highly specialised area of operations has seen aircraft such as the L100-30 used to provide logistical support to the mining industry in PNG and the versatile L188 Electra operatingregular flights from Australia to Irian Jaya and the Solomon Islands. Airfreight Containers

Skytraders manufacture a range of specialist perishable shipping containers. The revolutionary 'Skybox' was designed to carry quartered carcass beef at a stable temperature enabling door to door transport and negating the need for double handling. Skybox has been awarded the Packaging Council of Australia 'Silver Star' award for design excellence.
