Capability
Skytraders hold a high capacity Air Operators Certificate (AOC) with 180 Minute EDTO approvals. This AOC permits Skytraders worldwide approvals for all its operations.
These operations are supported by a mature risk and safety culture within the organisation that has sound documented practices that assess each and every individual or series of operations in remote parts of the world.
Skytraders also holds Airworthiness Certificates of Approvals that support these worldwide and remote operations. Skytraders operations are predicated on self-sufficiency ensuring maximum performance and minimal reliance on third parties. The company considers this to be as an essential element in support of its Antarctic Operations and worldwide charter activities.
Skytraders maintains a full engineering support organisation that manages all requirements across the company’s fleet. All maintenance planning is carried out in-house and Skytraders engineers travel with the aircraft when missions are being undertaken remote from base.
Skytraders in support of its activities also maintains its own stores and carries a significant spares inventory. The company’s engineering support is maintained to EDTO standards as required by CASA and it is the only operator outside the major airlines to hold these approvals.
